Patricia "Pat" Ann (Stringham) Beauchane, 77, Fertile, MN, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN. She was born on June 5, 1939, to Albert and Jenny Vera (Allison) Stringham at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Pat was raised in Sioux Falls, attending the Washington High School, graduating in 1957. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Music Education Degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 1961. Pat began teaching Music Education in 1961 to 1965 at Greybull, WY, moving to Devils Lake, ND in 1965 to 1967 and she finished her career in 1998 at Northrop Elementary School in Thief River Falls, MN. On September 24, 1971, Pat was united in marriage to Kenneth Beauchane at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN.

Pat was an avid reader and Sudoku, Crossword Puzzle, and Yahtzee player. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables she grew. Pat was able to travel to Bolivia to visit her sister and appreciated many trips with Gary and Maxine Walter. Pat and Ken were foster parents for many youth and adults who needed care and love during times of crisis. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary 2368, Local Pres. and District 2 Pres. DAC Board and Director for the Little Brothers/Little Sisters Board and Director and Pres. She was also a member of McIntosh Garden Club.

Pat is survived by her husband, Ken, Fertile; sister-in-law, Fern Stringham, Sioux Falls, SD, and Dorothy (Ernie) Franklin, Orange Park, FL; brothers-in-law, Daniel Beauchane, Owensville, IN, Richard Beauchane, Ron (Monica) Beauchane, Red Lake Falls, MN; nephews and nieces: Beverly (Bill) Roesch, Montrose, CO, Alan (Vicky) Foster, Medina, OH, Anna Foster, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, SA, Albert (Guyanna) Stringham, Rockford, IL, Paul (Maryanna) Stringham, Newborn, TN, Wayne Stringham, Sioux Falls, SD, step nieces and nephews, Shelly Gardner, Sioux Falls, SD, Peggy Werner, Fergus Falls, MN, Jay Powell, Sioux Falls, SD, Jimmie Powell, VA; Beauchane nieces and nephews: Jody (Stacy) Beauchane, Fertile, MN, Chad (Bess) Beauchane, Fertile, MN, Eric Franklin, Carlsbad, CA, Elliott (Tara) Franklin, Sugarland, TX, Debbie (Bo) Higgenbotham, Orange Park, FL, Ann (Randy) Gillund, Red Lake Falls, MN, Justin (Ruth) Beauchane, Fargo, ND, Christopher (Nichole) Beauchane, Red Lake Falls, MN, and Michelle Touketto, Fishers, IN; and great friends, Gary and Maxine Walter, Mark and Sue Berberich and Linda Olson; special dog, Coco. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William (Bill) Stringham, and one sister, Lois (Lester) Foster and nephew, Russell Stringham.

Visitation: 4-6 PM with a prayer service at 5:30 PM Sunday, March 19, 2017, St. Lawrence Catholic Church Mentor, MN.
