Heaven gained a precious little angel when Paisley Dawn Benson, newborn daughter of Cody and Hailee Benson, passed away peacefully in her parents' arms on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Paisley Dawn was born on April 22, 2022 to Cody and Hailee Benson in Crookston, MN. She weighed 8 pounds and was 20 ¾ inches long.

Paisley had her mommy's adorable pug nose, strawberry blond hair like her daddy's when he was born, and beautiful blue eyes. She had a heart-shaped "angel-kiss" birthmark on her eyelid signifying that she was kissed by an angel before coming to earth; specially marked and chosen by God.

Paisley's family was blessed to have her to love and snuggle for a few days before going to her heavenly home. She loved her mommy's cuddles and kisses, and when Daddy tickled her toes. She adored listening to Mommy and Daddy read the book Guess How Much I Love You, and pray Jesus, Tender Shepherd, Hear Me at bedtime. Each day Paisley brought more joy and happiness to those who loved her. Paisley was a true blessing from God. She was baptized into Christian faith on April 24, 2022. God loved Paisley so much that he decided he needed His precious angel back to make heaven just a little more beautiful. The rain stopped, the clouds parted, and God brought in sunshine to welcome Paisley Dawn Benson home.

Paisley lovingly leaves behind her parents, Cody and Hailee (Rice), Fertile, MN; her grandparents, Darin and Dawn Rice, Fertile, MN; Mark and Heidi Benson, Fertile, MN; her great-grandparents, Darrel Rice, Erskine, MN; Deloris Rice, Winger, MN; Rob and Kim Mahlum, Fertile, MN; Rollie and Kathy Schmidt, Waubun, MN; Wayne and Jean Benson, Detroit Lakes, MN; her great-great-grandmas, Darlene Mahlum, Moorhead, MN; Vera Hauge, Fertile, MN; uncles Ryan Benson and Josh Benson, Fertile, MN; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was united with her great-grandparents Roger and Beverly Drellack and great uncle Derrick Rice.

Paisley is wrapped in love with her dress made from Mommy's bridal gown, and her crocheted blanket made by Great-Grandma Bev.

Funeral: 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Visitation: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Interment: Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fertile, MN.
