Nathan "Nate" L. Thompson, 45, Ada, MN, died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, near Georgetown, MN.

Nathan Lowell Thompson was born on January 9, 1975 together with a twin sister, Tricia, to Lowell and LuAnn (Bentley) Thompson in Ada, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. Nathan attended the Ada-Borup schools graduating in 1993. While in school Nathan was involved in boy scouts, football and basketball.

In 2004, Nathan married Elizabeth Olson. Together they had three beautiful children who Nathan loved so very much. Braden, born in November of 2001, Zander, born in October of 2006, and McKenna, born in October of 2013.

Over the years, Nathan was employed by New Flyer, Ralph's Food Pride, Superior Grain Bins, and helped with seasonal beet hauling.

Sports! Sports! Sports! Nathan lived, ate and breathed sports. Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings and the Ada-Borup Cougar teams were his top three favorites. He was a season ticket holder the first year the new Twins stadium, Target Field was built. Nathan loved watching his boys play football, basketball and baseball while McKenna enjoyed snuggles with her daddy in the rocking chair. Nathan played on a men's softball team, golf and bowling leagues, and he was also a member of the Ada Fire Department.

More than anything in the world, Nathan loved his three children. They were his everything.

As a rule Nathan would be portrayed with a smile on his face, friendly and approachable. He will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. The memory of his smile, laugh and generous spirit will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
