Watch Nancy's Memorial Mass

Nancy Reller, age 75, of Detroit Lakes, MN, formerly of Mahnomen, MN, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living.

Nancy Kathryn Bruggeman was born on April 28, 1950, in Mahnomen, to Lawrence and Corinne (Krebsbach) Bruggeman. She grew up in Mahnomen and graduated with the Class of 1968. Following high school, Nancy pursued her passion for beauty and style, attending cosmetology school in Thief River Falls, MN, where she graduated with top honors. She then worked at the Cut and Curl in Mahnomen for nearly 10 years.

On April 24, 1971, Nancy was united in marriage to Joseph Reller at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Together they made their home in Mahnomen and were blessed with three children. Nancy devoted herself to raising her family and also cared for many of her nieces, nephews, and friends' children over the years. She was a warm and nurturing homemaker, always putting others first.

Nancy had many talents and passions. She was an excellent baker and cook, filling her home with delicious meals and treats. A gifted seamstress, she rarely needed a pattern to create beautiful, cherished pieces for her family. She also had a knack for decorating, constantly refreshing her home until it felt "just right." In her later years, she enjoyed sharing coffee and conversation with friends. Nancy was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid and always ready to lend a helping hand.

Nancy is survived by a son, Tony (Dani) Reller and their daughter, Lexi, of Waubun, MN; two daughters, Pam (Jason) Velcheck and their son, Carson, of Le Sueur, MN and Paula (Wes Horn) Reller of Moorhead, MN; siblings, Peggy Noll, Pat (Vanessa) Bruggeman, and Jane (Ron) Kemper; and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Reller; sister, Judy (Jerry) Binford; and brother-in-law, Dick Noll.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mahnomen, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
