Nancy Franklin, age 62, of Gary, MN, passed away at her home on Monday, June 15, 2026, under the care of her family and HIA Hospice.

Nancy Marie Halstad was born on August 8, 1963, in Crookston, MN, to Harold and Mary (Riepe) Halstad. She was raised in Fertile, MN, and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in her younger years. Nancy worked a variety of jobs over the years, most recently with Arctic Cat, where she was employed from the mid-2010s until her health began to decline.

Nancy was the proud mother of four children: Mandy, Brian, Linell, and Cole. She married Mike Franklin on December 23, 2013. Family was at the center of her life, and she especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, tending her flower gardens, doing puzzles, and watching birds.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Mike; children: Mandy (Josh) Brevik, Brian (Teanna) Halstad, Linell Robison, and Cole (Angela) Franklin; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Mary and Harold Halstad, and in-laws, James and Virginia Franklin.
