Nancy Fineday, age 60, of Ogema, MN, died on Friday, August 7, 2026, at her home under the loving care of her family and HIA Hospice.

Nancy Anna Fineday was born August 10, 1965, in Park Rapids, MN, the daughter of George and Laura (Butcher) Fineday.  Growing up, she spent her time in the Round Lake/Strawberry Lake areas and attended school in White Earth, MN.  Nancy graduated from Circle of Life Academy in White Earth.  Following graduation, she took culinary classes at the vo-tech in Detroit Lakes, MN.  Nancy drove bus for Circle of Life Academy for a number of years in addition to working as a cook.  She worked for White Earth ENP (Elderly Nutrition Program) for many years until recently when her health began to decline.

Nancy will be remembered as the fun-loving auntie and grandma with the good sense of humor.  She loved spending time with her grandkids doing things together that she too enjoyed.  She liked fishing, camping, listening to country music and taking road trips.  Nancy also spent time trying her luck at the slot machines at the casino and playing Bingo.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy is survived by two daughters, Larissa Fineday of Ponsford, MN, and Sheila Fineday of Ogema; five grandchildren: Cayden St. Clair, Kaylene St. Clair, Rain Fineday, Cody St. Clair Jr. and Kayonna St. Clair; one sister, Judith Goodman of Ogema; one brother, Herbert (Mary) Fineday Sr. of Cloquet, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Inez Fineday; her significant other, Don Peerman; brothers: Lester "Spud", Douglas, George "Koon" Jr., Gordon, Dennis and Jaycee Fineday; and sisters, Everyl Fineday and Laurie Hvezda.

Traditional Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Nancy Fineday Residence, 34780 County Road 143, Ogema, MN. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Burial will take place at Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Point, MN.
