Molly Bartos, age 22, of Waubun, MN, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Mahnomen Health Center in Mahnomen, MN, from injuries sustained in a four wheeler accident.

Molly Rae Bartos was born November 26, 1993, the middle child of Jennifer (Soch) and Randy Bartos.  She grew up east of Waubun and graduated with the class of 2012.  Following graduation, Molly attended Minnesota State University Moorhead majoring in Criminal Justice.  An exceptional student, she completed her Bachelor of Science in only two years, graduating in December of 2014.  In addition to going to college, Molly also worked as a PCA, at Telacris, and Blue Sky Inc.

In April of 2015, Molly moved to Colorado Springs, CO.  Later that fall, she moved to Bellevue, NE, and became employed by Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility in Omaha, NE.  With both endeavors, Molly was blessed with many new and lasting friendships.  She had recently moved back to the Waubun area to be with her family and friends.

Hard working, beautiful, smart, determined and animal lover are only some of Molly's wonderful attributes.  She had a love for all animals, especially horses and her dog, Stella.  Family, including Stella, was first and foremost to Molly.  She cherished the time spent with her nieces, Presley and Reese and was ecstatic to welcome her nephew, Zade, only three weeks ago.  Molly also liked hanging out with friends and being in the outdoors.  She could out fish and hunt most of her friends and family, reeling in an awesome walleye just last week.  She will be greatly missed and will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Molly leaves behind her parents, Jennifer and Randy; a sister, Melissa (Joe Zima) Bartos; nieces and nephew, Presley, Reese and Zade Zima; brother, Mason; grandparents, Connie and Fred Soch all of Waubun and very special friends, Kyle Robinson and Robin Stalberger.  She is also survived by aunts, Val (Dirk) Johnson, Eau Claire, WI, and Vickie (Mark Hoffman) Heisler, Fargo, ND; uncles: Jeff Fagre, Stanley Fagre, both of Waubun, and Jason (Beth) Soch, Swarthmore, PA, many cousins and her beloved Stella.  There to welcome Molly into heaven were her grandparents, John and Darlene Bartos; great grandparents: Jack and Hilma Bartos, Esper and Adeline Roering, Ed and Fern Mattson and Paul and Esther Soch; uncle, John Fagre and aunt, Carrie Fagre.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 2 pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen, MN. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment was in the Lake Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Waubun. Molly had a love for animals and in her honor a donation can be made to the Detroit Lakes Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
