Mike Larson, 60, Fargo, ND, formerly of Ada, MN, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Michael Philbin Larson was born April 22, 1955, in Ada, the son of Serenus and Gloria (Griewe) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and graduated from Ada High School with the class of 1973. He attended college at Moorhead State (MN) University in the pre-veterinary curriculum. He started working for Burlington Northern Railroad in the Crookston, MN office and later transferred to Dilworth, MN.
He enjoyed the outdoors, biking, fishing, as well as woodworking (lathing). As a youngster, along with his brothers collected many reptiles and other animals as pets.
Mike suffered a stroke a number of years ago and was a resident of Golden Living Center in Moorhead, MN, and ManorCare, Fargo, ND.
Mike is survived by his children, Bob Larson of St. Cloud, MN, Magen (Scott) Nelson, Marysville, WA, Anjie Broden of St. Cloud, MN, Crystal Larson, of Rapid City, SD, Nate Larson of Moorhead, MN, and Cody Larson, Fargo, ND, 11 grandchildren, his significant other; Rocky Dahl and her daughter, Kristi, two brothers, Tim (Carol) Larson, Scottsdale, AZ, David (Karen) Larson, Glendale, AZ, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry, and his son, Benjamin Larson.
Memorial Service: 10:30AM, Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Fredrikson- Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.
Visitation: For one hour before the memorial service.
Burial: Ada City Cemetery, Ada, MN
