Micheal
Goodman
Sep 26, 1958 — Oct 28, 2025
White Earth
Micheal Goodman, age 67, of White Earth, MN, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home.
Micheal James Goodman was born in Cass Lake, MN, the son of Joseph and Esther (Ahbedaush) Goodman. Growing up, Mike attended school in Pine Point, MN, and as a school age boy enjoyed a few years living in San Jose, California, with his parents, brother, Joe Jr., and sister, Joan. After his formal schooling, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he lived for many years. Micheal returned to his roots and lived in Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Mahnomen, and Perham, MN, before settling in White Earth 10 years ago. Over the years, he worked a variety of jobs, including his favorite at the American Indian Center in Detroit Lakes, where he made many lifelong friends. Most recently, Micheal was employed by the Shooting Star Casino until his retirement.
Micheal had a great sense of humor, and he liked to joke around with people. He enjoyed the serenity of being in the woods and one with nature but also loved visiting with friends and family. Family get-togethers were great, and he made the best Fry Bread! Micheal loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and dancing at pow wows, even making his own regalia. He was super proud of his 20+ years of sobriety and his writing ability. He enjoyed writing poems and short stories and was lucky enough to have some of his writings published. In more recent years, Mike's time was spent playing golf on his PS3, watching WWE wrestling and the Minnesota Vikings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Micheal is survived by six sons: Robert, Darrell, Calvin, Cody, Joseph and Gii-We-Din Goodman; four daughters: Danielle Goodman, Esther Goodman, Michelle Beaulieu, and Marie Beaulieu; many grandchildren and one sister, Char Lee-Ovaldson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Goodman; and sisters: Joan Goodman, Shelly Brown and Yvonne Heinen.
