Michael James Azure Sr., lovingly known as "Mike," passed away on May 8th, 2026, at the age of 47.

Michael James Azure, the son Debra Azure and Raymond Bellcourt, was born on February 2, 1979, in Detroit Lakes, MN. He was raised in White Earth, where he attended school and built many lifelong friendships.  As a young man, Mike met his high school sweetheart, Jamie Day, and together they began their family. Mike was especially proud of being a father to his six children. Later in life, becoming a grandpa brought him even greater joy. His grandchildren were truly the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent playing with them.  The role he cherished most in life was being a father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and friend. His greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, whether doing yard work, riding his 4-wheeler, or simply spending time outdoors with the people he loved most. Mike loved playing with them, making memories, and being surrounded by family. To those who knew him best knew he was truly the best dad ever.

He loved being outdoors, whether he was doing yard work, riding his four-wheeler, or simply spending time outside with the people he loved most. Mike was never one to sit still. He loved helping others and was always fixing, repairing, or tinkering on something. He loved and cared deeply for his mom, his children, and his family. He also treasured spending time with his brothers and cousins, sharing laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments together.  Mike had a great sense of humor, loved joking around, and was always ready to brighten someone's day.  More than anything, Michael will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the laughter he brought wherever he went.

Mike leaves behind his children, Arianna, Michael Jr. (Merrie), Jazmyn, James, Kyla (Alex), and Elliana; and his four beloved grandchildren, Jacob Jr., Maizey, Mateo, and Waaseyaa; his mother, Debra Azure; father, Raymond Bellcourt; grandma, Kibby Sullivan; brothers, Jeff Azure, Jeremy Azure, Ray VanWert, and Chris VanWert; and along with many family members and friends who loved him deeply.  Mike was welcomed into heaven by his beloved grandson, Joseph; his brother, Todd Bellcourt; an aunt, Rebecca "Jumbo" Villebrun; grandparents: Grace Bellcourt and Edward Jackson; and his great grandparents, Aaron and Marcianna Bevins and other extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN. An all-night wake will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, starting at 5:00 pm with a ceremony beginning at 6:30 pm and will continue until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in White Earth, MN.
