Megan Londo, age 25, of Naytahwaush, Minnesota, died Friday, February 19,2010 in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Megan was born February 13, 1985 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the daughter of Teri Lynn (Wadena) and Louis Londo. As a young child, she lived in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area until 1995 when she returned to the Naytahwaush. Megan attended school in Naytahwaush followed by Mahnomen High School. After her schooling, she worked at the Shooting Star Casino, as a certified nursing assistant and also at the Ada West pile during the fall beat campaign. Megan was currently turning her life around and had plans to marry Christopher Cruz and attend Moorhead State University.
Megan truly enjoyed the Native American culture, doing bead work and dancing at pow wows. Her young sons were her life, as she would do anything for them and cherished the time she spent with them. Megan also enjoyed cooking and cleaning and spending time with family.
Megan is survived by her fiancé, Christopher Cruz; her sons, Dyami Clark and Brian Clark Jr. along with their father, Brian Clark Sr. of Mahnomen; her mother, Teri (Donald Adams) Londo of Naytahwaush; her father, Louis Londo also of Naytahwaush; brothers, Louis Londo Jr. and Shannon Londo both of Naytahwaush; grandparents, Mavis Bush of Naytahwaush, and Joseph Bush Sr. of Mahnomen; nieces and nephews: Billy Johnson Jr., Austin Johnson, Dacotah Simon, Jordan Many Penny, Natalie Many Penny, Alora Londo, Louis Londo III, Ahshya Londo, Daniel Londo, and Malcom Londo.
Megan is preceded in death by her sister, Misty Jo Al-Yami Londo; her grandparents, Malcom and Harriet Londo; her uncle Thomas Giard Sr. and cousin, Jesse Giard.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex. Visitation will be held at the Sports Complex on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 11 pm with a wake service at 7:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Free Gospel Alliance Cemetery in Naytahwaush.
