Maya Weaver, age 42, of White Earth, MN, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Sanford Health, Fargo, MN.
Maya Jade Weaver, the youngest child of James and Sharon (Weaver) Brandon was born January 11, 1978, in Minneapolis, MN. Growing up she lived in the cities until the age of 5, when the family moved to Elbow Lake Village, MN, followed by Roy Lake, MN. Maya attended the Waubun-Ogema Public School District. Following her high school years, she moved to White Earth to make her home. Maya was blessed with 5 daughters. She married Tom Warren and together with daughters, Mariah, Krista and Janea they lived on White Earth Lake. After Maya and Tom divorced, she continued to live in the White Earth area. Maya was employed at the RTC office as an Administrative Secretary and later as a bartender at the Shooting Star Casino in both Mahnomen, MN, and Bagley, MN. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
Maya loved hanging out with family and friends and had a great sense of humor. She was very outgoing and caring, yet sassy, with a comeback for everything and enjoyed life to the fullest. Family was her greatest joy and she cherished their time together.
Maya is survived by her parents, James and Sharon Brandon of Mahnomen; daughters: Mariah Weaver, Krista Weaver, both of Mahnomen, AliRose Burley of Detroit Lakes, MN, Skyla Doxsee of Savannah, GA, and Janea Warren also of Mahnomen; six grandchildren; two brothers, William Weaver of Minneapolis, and Michael Weaver of Naytahwaush, MN; aunts: Shirley Weaver, Toni Weaver, both of Naytahwaush, Ruby Weaver of White Earth, Joan Brandon and Jayne Brandon, both of Minneapolis; and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Strawberry Lake Mennonite Cemetery, Ogema, MN,
