Matthew S. Lee, 39, Halstad, MN, passed away after a long courageous battle of cancer on Monday, May 26, 2014, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND, surrounded by his loving family.

Matthew Sherman Lee was born on December 4, 1974, in Moorhead, MN, the son of Donna and Sherman Lee of Hendrum, MN. He was baptized at Concordia Lutheran Church near Hendrum, on January 19, 1975 and later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hendrum. He attended and graduated from Norman County West High School in May 1993.

Matt was united in marriage to Tammy Wallace on June 10, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. To this union, they were blessed with three daughters: Brandi Jo, and twins Cheyenne Rae and Shelby Lynn. They were Matt's pride and joy!

Matt worked for J & L Farms of Perley for 20 years. He was a die- hard farmer. He served as trustee on the board of Immanuel Lutheran Church. His hobbies were collecting toy tractors and listening to Garth Brooks.

Matt is survived by his loving wife Tammy, daughters Brandi, Cheyenne, and Shelby, his mother, Donna Lee, Hendrum, sister Kimberley Firm, Duluth, MN, brother Kristofer (Andrea) Lee, Hendrum, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins, his mother-in-law, Linda (Joe) Stach, and father-in-law, Bill Wallace ( Lois Duchene), all of Ada, MN. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Sherman in 2007, three brothers, Jeffrey, Scott, and Patrick, and paternal and maternal grandparents. Blessed be his memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

Funeral Service: 11:00am, Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Immanuel Church, Hendrum, MN.

Visitation: Friday from 5pm to7pm with a 7pm Prayer service at Fredrikson Valley Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Burial: Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hendrum, MN.
