Mary Caye (Poehler) Tyrrell, 48, of Grand Forks , ND , died suddenly of heart failure while traveling home from a fund raiser near Crookston , MN , on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. She was born to Bob and Hellen (Ruebke) Poehler on February 10, 1962, at Crookston, MN . Mary was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church , rural Ada . She attended and graduated from the Ada High School in 1980, and continued her education at North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton, ND, graduating with degree in nursing.
On June 2, 1984, Mary was untied in marriage to William Tyrrell at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada . They moved to Grand Forks , ND , where Mary worked for Good Samaritan Nursing Home until 1997. She has worked in the Gastroenterology Department at Altru Clinic Main until the present. Over the years, Mary was very active in the Professional Nurses Committee and apart of many charitable fund raisers for the Clinic. She and Bill followed UND Sioux hockey closely and all events, especially athletic activities, at UMC Crookston, where Bill works.
Socializing with friends and family reflects of the heart of Mary's life. Developing and maintaining these relationships motivated Mary in her daily activities. She brought stimulating conversation, humor, insight, and encouragement to all she met. Her infectious smile and enthusiastic spirit drew others to her. Mary deeply loved her husband, Bill and her two children, Ryan and Brittany, as well as her extended family. After her mother passed away in 2008, Mary became the "keeper of the family", organizing family events and keeping in touch with each other.
Mary is survived by her husband, William (Bill) of , Grand Forks, ND, one son Ryan, Grand Forks, ND and one daughter, Brittany, Grand Forks, ND; her father, Bob Poehler, Ada, MN, two brothers, Tim (Kris) Poehler, Ada, MN, and Tom (Melanie) Poehler, Lafayette, LA, one sister, Sara (John) Proznik, Buxton, ND; mother-in-law, Esther Tyrrell, Bismarck, ND; and H J Ruebke, Ada, MN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, January 22, 2010, and father-in-law, William Tyrrell Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Chruch in Ada, MN.

Visitaion will be Monday from 5:00-8:00pm with a Visitaion at 7:30 at the church.

Burial will be at memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
