Mary McMahan

Mary Isabelle McMahan, 75, of Ada, MN, died at her residence on Thursday April 15, 2010. Mary was born on August 1, 1931, to Alvin and Ellan (Herwanson) McMahan in Crookston, MN. She was baptized in Crookston, MN and lived with her family in Crookston, Grand Forks, ND, and Moorhead, MN. In 1964, her family moved to Rindal, MN. Mary continued to live with her family until moving to the Evergreen Group Home in Ada in January of 1982.

Over the years, Mary has worked with the D.A.C. as a house keeper in several area businesses: Lee Brothers Sales, Twin Valley Bowling Alley, and the Day Care Center. Mary was a straight-forward, tell it like it is person. She loved food, especially pie and breads. Mary learned how to latch hook and embroidery, which involved a lot of her spare time. Daily bible reading was very important to Mary.

Mary is survived by her brother, Richard (Delores) McMahan, Moorhead, MN, three nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services: 1:30PM Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Fredrikson Funeral Home Chapel, Ada, MN.
Visitation will be one hour before the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Faaberg Lutheran Cemetery, Rindal, MN.
