Mary Ellen Lou Schenkey, 71, Erskine, MN, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Cross Roads Assisted Living apartments in Erskine.  She was born on May 7, 1946 to Jim and Emma Wilson in Pequot Lakes, MN.  Mary had 11 siblings: Lavonne, Donna, Bob, Jim, Lavern, Ruthie, Herb, Bert, Al, Helen and Russell.  They lived in Elwood, Nielsville and Beltrami, MN.  Her favorite flowers were lilacs and she always enjoyed a good cup of coffee.

Mary was a child care provider, she had the ability to take care of small children and truly enjoyed it.  Her hobbies included crocheting, putting puzzles together, playing cards, board games and painting ceramics.  The holidays were her favorite time of the year, she loved to put out the decorations and her collection of stuffed animals.

Mary is survived by her children: Ross (Nancy) Wilson, Glyndon, MN; Jessie (John) Duffy, Red Hook, NY; Terry (Sherry) Schenkey, Beltrami, MN; grandchildren: Shannon, Jordon, Logan, Peyton and Jackson Wilson, Johnny and Sarah Duffy, Janae and Kelsey Schenkey, Josh (Sarah) and Jason (Larissa) Awender; great-grandson, Breylan and great granddaughters, Nora and Sophie, several nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson; Timmy Hedrich and siblings; Lavern, Russell and Ruthie.

Memorial Service: 11 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2017, Erikson-Vik-Ganje Funeral Home, Fertile, MN. Visitation one hour before.
