Mary Blomdahl, age 70, of Bemidji, MN, died on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Cornerstone Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Bagley, MN.

Mary was born on February 14, 1948, at Mahnomen, MN, to Alice Marie (Preisler) Kuchynka and Edward Gust Kuchynka.  She was raised near Bejou, MN, and graduated from Mahnomen High School.  After graduating from college and obtaining her Registered Nursing Degree, Mary pursued her nursing career. She married Russel Blomdahl and to this union, three children were born: Sonja, Sarah and Eric.

Mary and her family lived in several western states before residing in Grand Forks, ND.  Here she pursued her passion of interior decorating and retail home furnishings.  Mary established and owned "MeadowBrook" in Grand Forks for many years, before retiring to her new home in Bemidji.

Mary is survived by her son, Eric Blomdahl; daughters, Sonja Blomdahl and Sarah Blomdahl; one grandson, Tristan Barstad; brother, Edward (Marge) Kuchynka, brother-in-law, Dean Olson; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Alice; sister, Mona Olson; and nephew, Jeff Kuchynka.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN.
