Marvin L. Norby, 78, Ada, MN, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND, under Hospice care.

Marvin was born in Crookston, MN on November 4th, 1945, to Lloyd and Marie Norby (Hanson).  He graduated high school in Gary, MN and joined the Army National Guard.  He drove truck for many years, lastly for Elliott Transport Systems Moorhead, MN.  Marv liked to hunt and fish, especially spearing while ice fishing.

He married Gayle Nystad on June 11th, 1966 at Gary Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two daughters, April (Dan) Norby and Ronda (Brian) Ciak, three grandchildren; Alexandra (Ken) Bessac, Brandon (Miranda) Ciak, Alicia Ciak and two great grandchildren.

In his quiet way, Marv (Poppy) was a man of kindness and love.  He will be greatly missed.
