Marvin R. Benesh, 90, Ada, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Benedictine Care Community in Ada.

Marvin Raymond Benesh was born on May 21, 1933 to John and Clara (Durling) Benesh on the family farm in Ada, MN. Marvin attended school through the 8th grade and was baptized and confirmed at Grace (First) Lutheran Church in Ada.

Marvin entered the United States Army in December of 1953 and was an Engineer Equipment Mechanic until his honorable discharge in 1955. He then returned home to Ada, lived with, and provided care for his parents until their passing. Marvin worked with Kenny Allrich and was involved in the agriculture business all his life.

Marvin enjoyed cars, especially Thunderbirds, and going for dinners with friends and family.

He is survived by 24 nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Robert Miller; sister-in-law, Pat Benesh; and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara; brothers, Kenneth (Irene), Arnold (Helen), Glen, and Clifford; sisters, Elenor (Pete) DeVries, Lorraine (Russell) Slininger, Doris (Russ) Melby, and Janice Miller; 1 nephew; and 4 nieces.

A Graveside Memorial Service with full military rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
