Marlin J. Halstad, 65, Twin Valley, MN, formerly of Fertile, MN, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, MN.

Marlin is the son of Harold and Mary (Riepe) Halstad, and the brother of LeRoy Halstad and Nancy (Halstad) Franklin.

Over the years Marlin worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN doing custodial work, at a recycling center crushing cans, and made fire stick bundles.

He enjoyed writing poems for everyone, and reading the bible. He also enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee and coloring. He loved the outdoors, riding his bike until he wasn't able to anymore.

Marlin is survived by his brother, LeRoy (Anette) Halstad; sister, Nancy (Mike) Franklin; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Marlin was a kind soul and will be missed. Rest in peace my brother. - LeRoy and Nancy

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
