Marjorie Brtek, age 76, of Bejou, MN, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Marjorie May Pulver was born October 20, 1942, in Fosston, MN, the daughter of Rolla and Isabella (Gaetz) Pulver.  She grew up in the Fosston area where she graduated from high school.  Following high school, she attended Cosmetology School.  She worked as a hairdresser for a time before meeting Raymond Brtek.  On October 5, 1976, Marjorie and Raymond were united in marriage.  They made their home near Bejou and were blessed with a daughter, Nicole.  Marjorie worked at the McIntosh Manor as a CNA for several years before retiring.  Ray passed away in November of 2010 and Marjorie remained in their home near Bejou.

During her retirement years, Marjorie enjoyed helping out with the grandchildren in Ulen.  She also enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino and visiting with company that would stop by.  Marjorie was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and loved watching and listening to the games.  She like fishing in both the summer and winter months and spending time in her garden and canning the abundant harvest it would often produce.  She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Puppy.  Marjorie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Kenneth) Thielen of Ulen, MN; two grandchildren, Jesse and Ashley also of Ulen; two sisters, Donna Lisburg of Gary, MN, and Diane Vasliks of Plummer, MN; sister-in-law, Sharon Pulver of Cokato, MN, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, stepson, Raymond Brtek Jr.; one brother, Richard, and a niece, Kari.

In Marjorie's Honor, a time of gathering will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 1-3 pm at her home.
