Marisa M. Sargent, age 23, of Naytahwaush, MN, died unexpectedly, Friday, October 13, 2017.

Marisa Melanie Sargent "Risa" was born November 1, 1993, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the daughter of John Sargent Sr. and Sandra Gonzalez. She grew up in Naytahwaush, MN, and attended school there, followed by Mahnomen High School. As a young women Marisa moved to Duluth, MN, and began working in the area. Marisa was blessed with two children, Devin and Risa Rain. She was very proud of her children and loved them deeply. Marisa was out going and humorous. She enjoyed being around people and loved to make them smile. She will always be remembered for having the biggest, beautiful, smile of her own. She was very supportive to family & friends, and will be greatly missed by many.

Marisa is survived by her dad, John Sargent Sr. and step-mom, Michelle Brown of Naytahwaush, MN; seven siblings: John Jr., (Jessica), Nathaniel (Heather), Maisie, Tanner, Ethan (Kimmie), Frank, and Brian; her grandmother, Judy Gonzalez; aunts: Kathy, Brenda, Eleanor, Melanie, Jamie, Cheryl, Crystal, and Nova; uncles; Boone, Drew, Apollo, Jerome, Jamie, and Johnny; best friends: Kimmie and Heather; special cousins: Neka, Sonny, Lolly, and April; as well as many other cousins, extended family members, friends and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra; her grandparents: Avonelle and Melvin Sargent and Juan Gonzalez; three aunts: Lois, Janelle, and Francesca "Frankie" and one uncle, Brian.
