Marion Wibbels, age 61, of Bejou, MN, died on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Marion Marie Brtek was born November 23, 1957, in Ada, MN, the youngest of ten children born to Emil and Eva (Sharbono) Brtek.  Growing up, she attended elementary school in Bejou followed by Mahnomen High School.  On January 25, 1975, Marion was united in marriage to Vaughn Wibbels.  The young couple lived in the Twin Cities area for a couple years before returning to Bejou.  Since that time, Marion and Vaughn have made their home in Bejou where they raised their four children: Hayley, Arla, Jeffery, and Timothy.  In 1997, Marion began working at the Shooting Star Casino until her declining health forced her to take an early retirement in 2007.

Shopping, shopping and more shopping, eating out and going to rummage sales were all things Marion liked to spend her time doing.  She was always looking for a good deal and enjoyed buying gifts for others, especially her children and grandchildren.  Family was her utmost priority and any time spent with family was time well spent.  From following the kid's activities to large family get togethers to the spur of the moment drives, she loved it all.  Marion was a hardworking woman, a bit reserved but had one of the most generous and caring hearts you'll ever meet.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marion is survived by her husband of 44 years, Vaughn of Bejou; two daughters, Hayley Wibbels and Arla (Eric Wind) Wibbels both of Mahnomen; two sons, Jeffrey (Kristin) and Timothy (Katie) both of Twin Valley, MN; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Avis Ystenes of Audubon, MN, Gloria Thompson of Bejou, Lillian (Roger) Lofgren of Hitterdal, MN, and Shirley (Ron) Locken of Winger, MN; four brothers: Floyd (Sheryl) of Coon Rapids, MN, Les (Joanne) of Stillwater, MN, Jerry (Sharon) of Mounds View, MN, and Gary (Pam) of Ottertail, MN; and many nieces, nephews and extended family of Vaughn's side.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Taylor; a great-granddaughter, Shaylinn; a brother, Kenneth; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Thompson and Willard Ystenes.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN.  Visitation will take place at the Anderson Family Funeral Home on Sunday, November 17, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Interment will take place at the Bejou City Cemetery, Bejou, MN.
