Marilyn Rose Lopez was born March 28, 1960, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Raymond Sr. and Patricia (Keezer) Lopez.  She grew up in the Twin Cities area where she attended school.  Following her schooling, Marilyn moved to the White Earth Reservation to make her home.  She was blessed with six children.  Living near her sons, Marilyn has lived in Moorhead the past 18 years.

Marilyn could be described as a caring individual who would give not only of herself but whatever she could to help others.  She had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful story teller from times of the past.  She was a great cook and baker, especially when it came to baking bread.  Marilyn also enjoyed making dream catchers, playing Bingo and hanging out with her friends.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Enrique Lopez, Enrico Lopez and Juan Bunker, all of Moorhead, Desiree Dahlke of Wisconsin, Patricia Osuna of Duluth, MN, and Marilyn Ellis, of Pine Point, MN; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Lilah and Izaiah; a brother, Ray Lopez of Thief River Falls, MN, and a sister, Juanita Lopez of Callaway, MN; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers:  Juan, Jerry and Merlin.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 am at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN.  Visitation will begin Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm and continue until the time of the Funeral Service Friday at the White Earth Community Center. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Burial will be in Vernon Anderson Cemetery in rural Waubun, MN .
