Watch Margie's Funeral

Margie Keller, age 80, of Bejou, MN, died on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Essentia Health in Fosston, MN.

Margie Ann Jordahl was born at home on November 5, 1940, the daughter of Lester and Anna (Preisler) Jordahl. She attended school in Bejou through the 8th grade and graduated from Mahnomen High School with the class of 1958. Following high school, Margie began working at the dental office of Dr. Diekman in Mahnomen, MN. She was united in marriage to Paul Keller on October 24, 1964, in Bejou. They made their home on the Keller Family farm near Bejou, where they raised their family. Over the years, Margie helped on the farm with the daily household chores, cooking for her family, and keeping a watchful eye on all five of her children. She also watched Paul's nephews during the summertime, they still talk about those fond memories to this day. After the kids got older, she continued to work part time at the dental office and then also part time at the Bejou post office. Paul passed away in January of 1998 and Margie remained on the farm. In 1999, she was appointed the Postmistress of Bejou, retiring a few years later at the age of 62. During retirement, Margie kept busy. She enjoyed meeting the ladies at Bendickson's General Store for coffee and the ladies birthday get-togethers. She also liked playing cards, cooking and baking, as she was well known for having had the best donuts and potato dumplings. Margie loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and even taught a few of them some of her cooking and baking skills. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bejou, ladies aid and the ZCJB (Bohemian) Lodge. Margie was able to remain in her home until just over a year ago when her health began to decline and she moved into the nursing home in Fosston. She enjoyed all the staff there and spoke fondly of them.

Margie is survived by three sons: Brian (Beth) of Red Lake Falls, MN, Jason (Monica) of Bejou and Michael (KariAnn) also of Bejou; two daughters, Lori (Dan) Anderson of Goodridge, MN, and Susan Burdick of Bejou; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren plus an additional great grandchild expected in February of 2022; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul, in 1998 and one brother, Jim Jordahl.

Blessed be the memory of Margie Keller.
