Margaret Alvera (Slininger) Lee, 94, Ada, Minnesota, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the Heritage House, Halstad, MN.

Margaret was born to Charlie and Fanny (Hornby) Slininger Nov. 15, 1923, in Lake Ida Township, rural Ada.  She grew up on the farm and attended Bloomfield country school District 24.  She was a farm girl at heart all her life. She helped with farm work as well as housework.  As a young lady she worked for Mrs. Larson and Agnes Farhgar in their homes, at the Pantry Cafe for Mabel Rockstad and at the Red Owl store.

She married William (Bill) Lee of rural Perley June 2nd 1944. She lived in Ada until he was discharged from the army.  They moved to the farm and farmed with his father and then on their own for over 40 years. They raised 6 children.  Margaret met the Lord of her life in 1951 under the preaching of Maynard Halverson at Concordia Church.  She taught Sunday School, served where she could in the church and encouraged many children to go to Bible camp (Camp Joy) on Star Lake.   In later years she was a home health aide.

Margaret enjoyed sewing, crocheting, many other crafts and reading.   She enjoyed her many flower and vegetable gardens and loved hearing and being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret and Bill moved into Ada in July of 1989.  They traveled to Norway twice and went to Hawaii and Alaska. For 20 years they went to Arizona for the winter.

Margaret is survived by three sons, Steven (Judy) Lee at Anoka, Mn, Wayne (Lynn) Lee Perley, Mn, Barry Lee Perley, Mn, three daughters, Jeanie (Monty) Todt, San Antonio, Fl,  Karen (Stan) Synstelien, Fergus Falls, Mn, and Marilyn (Jerry) Stordahl, Halstad Mn, one sister, Florence Erickson, one brother, Burton Slininger, both of Twin Valley, one sister-in-law, Garnet Holm, Moorhead, Mn, and many nieces and nephews, 16 grandchildren, Chris Todt, Erik Todt, Jason Synstelien, Jennifer Synstelien, Corey Synstelien, Amy Eichler, Tiffany Lee, Mike Boone, Eddy Boone, Anthony Lee, Mercedes Lee, Raina  Stordahl, Wyatt Stordahl, Dustin Lee, Nicole Lee, Kristin Lee, 14 great grandchildren, Ethan Synstelien, Brian Synstelien, Emily Synstelien, Mark Synstelien,  Alex Eichler,  Dylan Synstelien, Taylor Synstelien,  Kyndra Synstelien, Sawyer Lee, Lincoln Lee, Emma Lee, Jazmine Boone, Kolby Boone, and Piper Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, Melvin as an infant, Roy, Clyde, Russell, five sisters, Mabel, Gladys, Lila, Iva, and Orvilla, four sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law on her side and Bills.

Funeral: 11:00 Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hendrum, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Interment: Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hendrum, MN.
