Margaret Gilbertson, 91, Ada, MN, died Monday, November 21, 2011, at Bridges Care Community, Ada, MN.

Margaret Marie Johnson was born February 12, 1920, in Moorhead, MN, the daughter of Julius and Olga (Christianson) Johnson. She attended school in Moorhead, and when her mom got sick, she went to live with her aunt and uncle, Anton and Ida Holm, near Hendrum, MN. Margaret was united in marriage to Allen "Dutch" Gilbertson on May 30, 1943. They made their home on a farm near Ada, and raised their children. She was a homemaker helping on the farm and raising her gardens. Dutch died in 1963. Margaret moved into Ada in 1967 and had worked at Chi Chi's Restaurant and the Creamery Restaurant. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed coffee with friends, playing bingo at the Senior Center and visiting with family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her children, David Gilbertson, Fosston, MN, Carol (James) Demgen, East Gull Lake, MN, Art (Mara) Gilbertson, Ada, MN, and James Gilbertson, Forrest Lake, CA, 11 grandchildren, Kirsten (Travis) Jensen, Adam (Sarah) Gilbertson, Kayla Gilbertson, Kimberly Gilbertson, Leslie (Adam) Arnold, Shannon Demgen, Ryan (Jessica) Gilbertson, Jason (Brianne) Gilbertson, Briana (Jacob) Lucas, Jaimie Gilbertson, and Patrick Gilbertson, 6 great grandsons, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dutch, two brothers, Bill and Robert, two sisters, Catherine and Jeannette, and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Karyna.

Funeral Service: 11:00am, Monday, November 28, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: on Monday for one hour before the funeral at the church

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
