Marceline "Marcy" Samuelson, age 78, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota.

Marceline Theone Ambuehl was born June 19, 1931, the daughter of Lowell and Olga (Evenstad) Ambuehl, near Borup, Minnesota. Marcy attended school in Ada, Minnesota, graduating with the class of 1948. Upon graduation, she accepted a job as bookkeeper at the Penney's store in Ada where she was employed for a few years. On April 4, 1950, Marcy was united in marriage to Wayne Samuelson in Ada. The couple made their home on a farm east of Ada until 1966, when they moved into town. While living in the Ada community, Marcy was a member of the Friendly Farmerettes. Wayne was employed as the plant manager of the Standard Oil Farm Center until he and Marcy moved to Twin Valley in 1974. At that time Wayne had a bulk fuel oil delivery business and Amoco gas station on highway 32. Marcy took care of the financial end of the business and answered the phone. Wayne and Marcy retired in 1995. Wayne died January 12, 2006. Marcy continued to make her home in Twin Valley until the time of her death.

Marcy enjoyed traveling with Wayne in their pick-up camper and, later, in their RV. They visited most of the lower 48 states, and much of Canada. Marcy was an avid reader and a follower of current events. She liked watching quiz shows, and was especially good at history and geography questions.

Marcy is survived by her son, Rick Samuelson of Twin Valley, MN; brothers, Charles Ambuehl of Fargo, ND and Wayne (Arlene) Ambuehl of New Hope, MN, and a sister, Barbara (Morris) Sprung of Windsor, MO and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, March 11th, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley.

Inurnment was in the Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada.
