Lyssa Rae LaNelle Gordon, infant daughter of Desiree Wadena and John Gordon, of Waubun, MN, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at home. Lyssa Rae was born on July 14, 2015, weighing 6.3lb at the Essentia Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was lovingly welcomed into this world with her twin brother, John Jr. Although she was here for only a very short time, she had begun to share smiles and coo's. She often smiled in her sleep trying to share her wonderful dreams with others. She was a calm baby and brought comfort to her twin brother as they tenderly slept together. Lyssa was always being held by and doted on by her big sisters, especially by Gladys Ann. She loved to cuddle with all of her family. Lyssa Rae was baptized into the Catholic faith and was tenderly anointed after her sudden death. In the seven weeks of her tiny life, Lyssa Rae was a treasured gift. She is survived by her mom and dad, Desiree and John; her twin brother, John Jr.; three sisters. DeJonelle, Gladys, and Johna; her grandparents: Michelle and Darrell "Smokey" Wadena, Lori Ah-Shein, and Matt (Jami) Gordon; great grandparents: Butch and Gladys Gordon, Lauren Lovejoy, Ruby Buehner, and Kenneth Ah-Shein;   her aunts and uncles: Leslie (J.R), Darrell, Lindsey, Darren (Reanna), Shelby (Ken), Julie, Kimmie (Ethan), Catarina, David, Mikey, and Peyton; as well as several great aunts, great uncles, and many cousins. Lyssa Rae was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Darrell "Chip" and Bonnie Wadena, Gary Buehner, and Gary Lovejoy; and twin great aunts, Cheryl Lynn and Sharon Leigh Gordon. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation for Lyssa Rae will be on Monday, September 7, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm, all at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery.
