Obituary

Lynda Lynette Littlewolf, age 48, of Naytahwaush, MN, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, surrounded by loving family and friends, at the Mahnomen Health Center Hospital under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Lynda, the daughter of Isaac and Meredith (Bellanger) Littlewolf, was born on September 25, 1969, in Mahnomen, MN. She grew up on the White Earth Indian Reservation, calling Naytahwaush home. Beginning with young love in her teenage years, Lynda began a long-term relationship with James "Oscar" Kier. Together they were blessed with two children, Jessie and Michael. While raising their children, Lynda worked hard for several years at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen until her journey changed, injuring her in a life altering motor vehicle accident in 1999.

As the years passed, Lynda crossed paths with Robert "Tony" Keezer and continued to share her love and life with him. Tony was the "butter to her bread and the breath to her life", giving her the glow that she was missing through the years. She loved spending time with her grandson, Tripp. They had a special bond and were thick as thieves. She was always bragging about her children, friends, and family; always proud of their accomplishments and achievements. She was proud to be Native American and loved her culture. Lynda also loved spending time with her close friends and family, always teasing, joking, and terrorizing them. Her gift to gab allowed her to visit and laugh with people for hours. Having company was her time to shine. Her family and friends will always remember Lynda as the competitive card playing, loud music listening, laughing, big hearted, beautiful woman that she was.

Lynda's ability to persevere, allowed her to remain the strongest person her children and family knew. Her resilience has been engraved in her children, enabling them to live the best life possible. She lived a simple life, always giving and never expecting. She taught others to be optimistic and was inspirational to all that had the privilege of knowing her. Her large heart and generous spirit can never be replaced, she will be forever missed.

Lynda is survived by her children, Jessie (Jason Clark) Kier of Waubun and Michael Kier of Fargo, ND; her significant other, Robert "Tony" Keezer of Naytahwaush; her parents, Isaac "Bug" and Meredy Littlewolf of Naytahwaush; sister, Lisa Littlewolf of Mahnomen; three brothers: John, Justin Sr. (Amy), and Tony, all of Naytahwaush; one grandson, Tripp Jayson Clark; and her three dogs: Aali, Layla and Mousie, who meant the world to her.

She was welcomed to the spirit world by her grandparents: John and Edie Bellanger, Isaac Littlewolf and Julia Johnson; uncle, Vernon Weaver; her sister, Jamie; cousins, Shawn Weaver and Wally Lang Burnette; and dear family friends, Troy and LeRoy Kier.
