Lowell Kent Wang, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2016 at Halstad Living Center in Halstad, Minnesota.

Lowell was born on July 6, 1942, the son of Kenneth and Lillian (Olson) Wang near Ulen, Minnesota. He was very passionate about sports. During his high school years he played football, baseball, track, and basketball. He graduated from high school and later moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Lowell served his country as a member of the Air National Guard. He was married for 24 years and was blessed with two children. Most of his working career was spent at Stan
Kostka Sporting Goods as a manager, and at Juhl Brokerage, Inc. After retiring he worked part-time for the Fargo Public School System.

Over the years, Lowell enjoyed the outdoors and sports. He loved to go fishing, hunting, camping and played handball, racquetball, softball, and bowling. He was a very kind, caring and positive person who always tried to see the bright side of everything. There wasn't a place he could go without knowing someone. He loved reminiscing about old times and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had a chance to know him.

He is survived by his children, Amber (Kim) Seibel, Spring Branch, Texas, and Brandon (Danielle) Wang, Pensacola, Florida; his brother, Marlin Wang, Waubun, Minnesota; his sister, Linda Knopfler, Ulen, Minnesota; his three grandchildren: Alyssa, Kade, and Kellon; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lillian.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the American Legion, 303 30th St N, Moorhead, MN.

His burial will be held at a later date.
