Lowell "Swede" Sorenson, 83, Ada, MN, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Swede was born November 17, 1928, at Wheaton, MN, the son of Adolph and Esther Sorenson. He moved with his family to Rose Glenn, ND, where he grew up and attended school. He served in the United States Navy. Swede lived in Great Falls, MT, and worked in the construction industry around Montana. He moved to Ada around 1974 where he worked for Agsco Company. Swede enjoyed being with people and had a deep affection for his dogs. He attended many auction sales in the area and liked to restore antiques. He was always tinkering and enjoyed fixing things and going fishing.
Swede is survived by four sons, Jerry, Scottsdale, AZ, Monte (Sue), Myron, both of Great Falls, MT, Scott (Barb) of White Fish, MT, his daughter, Maria Renville, of Great Falls, MT, their mother, Janice Renville, of Great Falls, MT, one brother, Delmar (Fay) in Alabama, one sister, Dorothy in California, five grandchildren, Jason, Brooke, Alicia, Brandon, and Corey, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Gary, his daughter, Jamie, and a sister Jean.
Memorial Service: 5pm Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, Minnesota.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.
