Louella Halvorson, age 90, of Ada, MN, died Friday, August 4, 2017, at Bridges Care Community, Ada, MN.

Louella Mae Halvorson was born on November 7, 1926 to Elmer and Ella (Hansen) Holen near Mentor, MN. She was oldest child in her family with just one brother, Orville. She was baptized at Varnes Lutheran Church in Fertile, and later was confirmed into faith in 1941. Growing up, she attended school in Liberty Township and worked on the family's farm. Louella was united in marriage to Richard Halvorson in January of 1946. The couple moved to Twin Valley in 1948, Here the couple made their home and raised their two children, Roger and Robert. After Richard's death in 1998, Louella continued to live at home with her sons until 2013 when she entered Bridges Care Community.

Louella enjoyed spending time outdoors. She greatly appreciated the farm life that she had grown to know. She spent her spare time talking with friends, cooking, and baking. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley.

Louella is survived by her sons, Roger and Robert Halvorson, both of Twin Valley, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Elmer and Ella; and her brother, Orville.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN. Interment will be immediately following the service at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
