Watch Lorriane's Memorial Service

Lorraine Larson, age 91, of Fertile, MN, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Sanford Health System in Fargo, ND.

Lorraine Emily Gullickson was born at home in Bearpark Township, rural Fertile, MN, the second youngest child of Gullick and Minnie (Erickson) Gullickson. She attended country school and graduated from Fertile High School with the Class of 1946. Following graduation, Lorraine helped on the family farm. She was united in marriage to Morris Larson on October 9, 1954, at Faaberg Lutheran Parsonage in Rindal, MN. The couple made their home on the farm and were blessed with three children. Lorraine worked side-by-side with Morris in the daily operations of their dairy farm. They farmed their entire lives and never really retired, always keeping busy. Morris passed away in October of 2012, and Lorraine remained on the farm until the time of her death.

If you were looking for a good cup of coffee, you knew to go visit with Lorraine. She made the best egg coffee around! In addition to tending to their children, she helped with the daily chores, fed the calves, raked the hay, and numerous other duties that needed to get done. However, in her spare time, Lorraine did enjoy reading and working the word find books. Hardworking, caring, and dependable are all words that could be used to describe Lorraine. She had a strong Christian faith that was evident in her daily living; and her family was always first and foremost. She treasured the time spent with family, especially times with her only granddaughter, Kate.

Lorraine is survived by two daughters, Debbie Larson and Barb Larson, both of Fargo, ND; one son, Kevin (Wendy) Larson of Fertile, MN; one granddaughter, Katherine Larson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; twin grandchildren, Anna Lorraine and Joshua Kevin Larson; four sisters; and five brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Twin Valley, MN, with a time of gathering one hour prior.
