Obituary

Lori Beck, age 61, of Ulen, MN, formerly of Twin Valley, MN, died on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Lori Ann Fevig was born on December 31, 1963, in Moorhead, MN, to Verne and Patricia (Olson) Fevig. From a young age, Lori had a creative and giving spirit. She excelled at playing the violin and was proud to have helped stain the Hjemkomst Center's iconic Viking ship. Lori graduated from Moorhead High School with the Class of 1982. Lori's greatest joy came from her three children - Amanda, Brianne, and Logan - as well as the many "adopted" children and grandchildren who found a place in her heart over the years.

Lori worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including at Moorhead Health Care Center, Ulen Standard Station, Lena's Lefse, and as a bartender at both the Ulen VFW and County Road 38 Pub in Flom. She also spent more than a decade as a housekeeper at the Twin Valley Living Center, where she was known for her hard work and sense of humor.

Family was at the heart of everything Lori did. She loved babysitting the little ones, cheering on her grandchildren, and opening her home and heart to anyone who needed a bit of family. Her granddaughter introduced her to basketball, and Lori quickly became a devoted fan — rarely missing a Golden State Warriors game and women's basketball games. Lori enjoyed cooking, camping, playing darts, watching daytime TV and NASCAR, and relaxing with her coloring books. She will be remembered for her bright personality, infectious laugh, and boundless generosity. In her final act of kindness, Lori gave the gift of life through organ donation with LifeSource.

Lori is survived by her children: Amanda (Darell) Skoy, Brianne (Kody Triechel) Beck, Logan (Ashley) Bailey; bonus daughter, Robin (Kristin) Buretta; 8 grandchildren: Noah, Scarlett, Patsy, Chance, Amelia, Ryder, Avah, and Berkley; sisters: Tammy (Mike) Settera, Wendy Fevig, Cindy (Mike) Slaughter, and Kristi Fevig; and many beloved extended family members. Lori was greeted in heaven by her grandparents and parents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with a time of gathering one hour before, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Twin Valley, Minnesota.
