Lois Marie Roy Harrold, age 82, of St. Louis Park, MN, passed peacefully at home August 3, 2018.

Lois was born March 11, 1936, in White Earth Township. She was an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe; White Earth Nation. She grew up in Twin Lakes and graduated from Haskell Institute in 1953 where she studied pre-nursing, and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing, Breckinridge, MN, in 1956. Lois was employed as a Registered Nurse (RN) for fifty years, twenty years as a surgical nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis, retiring in 1998. Lois continued working part-time as a RN at Jones-Harrison Residence in Minneapolis until fully retiring in 2006.

Lois treasured spending time with granddaughter, Katelynn. She also loved reading, listening to music, yoga, walking, and visiting with family and friends. Lois epitomized grace and peace and will also be remembered for her strong faith in God, commitment to family, work ethic and awesome sense of humor.

Lois is survived by children, Mary, Teresa (Nora Guerin), Robert W., and John; granddaughter, Katelynn Harrold; brother, Martin (Pauline) Roy; sister, Gladys (Harold "Butch") Gordon, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by parents, Louis A. and Maria "Mary" (Oppegard) Roy, brother, Richard "Dick" Roy; sister, Mavis Roy; granddaughter, Kristina Harrold; nieces: Sharon Gordon, Cheryl Gordon, and Tracy Roy Maki; great-great niece Lyssa Gordon; best friend Ellen Mae Robinson and many relatives.

Dual visitation with her brother, Richard "Dick" Dale Roy (passed September 29, 2017) will be held August 23, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN., 55445. A joint Celebration of Life Service for Lois and Richard will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Naytahwaush, MN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be held in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Naytahwaush, MN.
