Lila Holm, age 88, of Mahnomen, MN, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home in Mahnomen.

Lila Elizabeth Greene was born September 30, 1932, in White Earth, MN, the daughter of Helmer and Rose (Beaupre) Greene.  She grew up in the Mahnomen area and attended school in Beaulieu through the 8 ^th grade.  At the young age of 17, Lila was united in marriage to Erling Holm on June 24, 1950, in Grand Rapids, MN.  Together, the couple made their home in Coleraine, MN, for 50+ years.  While living in Coleraine, Lila worked at a department store for many years followed by her employment at the Coleraine City Hall for 18 years before retiring in 1992.  They moved back to the Beaulieu, MN, area in 2002.  Erling died in September of 2009 and Lila remained in their home until entering the nursing home last fall due to her declining health.

Over the years, Lila enjoyed countless hours of knitting, sewing and doing craft projects.  In later years, she liked to play Bingo and the occasional trip to try her luck at the casino.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lila is survived by two sisters, Corrine (John) Bucholz of Florence, SC, and Lenore Moran of Mahnomen; three brothers: Helmer Charles Greene of Effingham, SC , Gorman Greene of Naytahwaush, MN, and Rodney (Judy) Greene of Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Thelma Beaupre; one brother, Berman Greene and four nieces and nephews: Patty Boudreau, John Boudreau, Rosemary Greene, and Darci Moran.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home, Mahnomen, MN. A time of gathering will take place one hour prior.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate.
