Leland Pinske, age 68, of Gary, MN, died Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Leland James, the son of Bernard and Gladys (Ellingworth) Pinske, was born on June 13, 1953, in Ada, MN. He grew up on the family farm near Gary where he attended school.  After graduating from Gary High School with the class of 1971, Leland continued working on the family farm. On May 11, 1974, Leland was united in marriage to Sharon Kuehn. The couple continued farming, raising both cattle and small grains. They were blessed with three daughters, which kept the couple on their toes.  In his free time, he enjoyed gopher trapping, deer hunting, riding 3-wheeler, and working in his garden.  In addition to harvesting his own vegetables, he loved riding around in his ranger looking for wild asparagus, checking out the crops and watching all the wildlife.  He was a jack of all trades and would try to fix almost anything. Leland was often tinkering on tractors or making woodworking projects around the farm.  He had the gift to gab and loved to visit, especially when he was giving someone a hard time. As Leland's health began to fail, he rented out his farmland but remained as active as he was able.  He adored his three grandchildren and was very proud of the young adults they were becoming. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Leland is survived by his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Laurie (Joe Geray) of Mahnomen; three grandchildren, Brandon Gunderson, Dylon Gunderson, and Hannah Purrington; two brothers, David (Janice) and Ronnie (Kathy); and one sister, Jean Pinske.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Christina and Rhonda; and two sisters, Caroline and Patty.

Private family services were held.  Inurnment was in St. William Catholic Cemetery, Twin Valley.
