Obituary

Larry Vigesaa, age 66, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, in MeritCare Health Systems, Fargo, North Dakota.

Larry Vigesaa was born August 28, 1941, the son of Vincent and Jeanette (Badger) Vigesaa near Twin Valley. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Twin Valley. As a young man, Larry entered the United States Army. While in the military he was assigned to an air Calvary unit in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, Larry came back to Twin Valley where he was employed by Stanley Habedank Construction and later operated his own construction business. He moved to Alaska for a few years where he continued in the construction field. Larry returned to Twin Valley where he made his home until the late 1980's when he once again moved to Alaska. After his retirement in 2001, Larry moved back to Twin Valley and had made his home here since. He was currently in the process of building a new home in Twin Valley.

Larry enjoyed being around friends and family and was a member of the VFW and Eagles.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Kim Vigesaa of Twin Valley, MN; two sisters, Patty (Floyd) Pawlak of Rogers, MN and Kathy (Danny) Bredman of Ada, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 18th, 2007, at 2 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Twin Valley. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Behiling with Myrna Thornton serving as organist and Monica Winter serving as vocalist. Pallbearers will be Scott Burke, James Gullekson, Shawn Bredman, Cody Bredman, Doug Gullekson, Dan Pawlak, Steve Pawlak, James Vigesaa and Vince Vigesaa. Military Honors will be provided by the Twin Valley Nesseth-Lien Post #431 of the American Legion. Visitation will be on Monday, December 17th from 5PM until 7PM with a Family Service at 7PM in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley. Visitation will also be one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley, Minnesota.
