Larry L. Sather, 48, of Moorhead, Minnesota, died Saturday, Sept. 5th, 2009, in St. Mary's Hospital, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Larry Lee Sather was born January 11, 1961, in Moorhead, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed his faith in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Larry grew up in Ulen, Minnesota where he was raised by his grandparents, Sever and Florence Benthagen. He attended school in Ulen, graduating with the class of 1979. As a young man, Larry served his country in the United States Air Force for five years. He then returned to the Ulen area for a time before living in Auburn, Washington with his sister Lorey. While there, Larry was employed as a Master Plumber for several years. In 2003, he moved near Moorhead to care for his mother where he continued to make his home until the time of his death.

Larry's favorite past times included fishing, playing computer games and doing mechanic work.

Larry is survived by his mother, Carol Pollock of Moorhead, MN; brothers, Mark (Darla) Pollock of Twin Valley, MN and Ben (LeAnne) Pollock of Backus, MN; sisters, Lorey (VinceTucker) Bergstrom of Auburn, WA and Sarah (Jeff) Lee of Fosston, MN; four nephews, five nieces, two great nephews, three great nieces; a special cousin, Richard Knutson; an uncle and aunt, Lyle and Shirley Sather and an aunt, Bernice Berg all of Moorhead, MN.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service was held 11:00 AM Monday, Sept. 14th in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, MN. Officiating was Pastor Steve Dahl with Carol Lockhart serving as organist.
