Obituary

Kyle Olson, age 40, of Ada, MN, died Friday, September 26, 2025.

Kyle Lyle Olson, the only son of Stacy Agnew and born to Gayln Olson came into this world on December 11, 1984, in Fargo, ND.  He grew up in rural Gary, MN, and attended school in Ada.  While in high school, Kyle played both football and basketball.  He graduated from Ada High School with the Class of 2003.  Following his schooling Kyle entered the workforce.  He worked several years at the Shooting Star Casino as a table games dealer and spent one summer custom combining.

Throughout his life, Kyle had a deep passion for horses, participating in team penning, sorting, horse shows, and training, earning himself countless trophies, ribbons, and buckles.  There was never a horse he couldn't ride.  Outside of horses and work, he enjoyed the outdoors, riding ATV's, fishing, big campfires, shooting and collecting firearms and his favorite holiday was the 4th of July.  He loved spending time with his children, playing video games, his many pairs of Jordan sneakers and anything that went fast.  Kyle was fearless and only knew one speed: FAST and FUN.  He was an animal whisperer and loved his three cats and dog.  He especially cherished time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for his goofy and outgoing personality, big heart, infectious laugh, and charisma.  Kyle will be remembered with love by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Kyle is survived by his fiancée, Krista Madsen; his daughters: Ava (14), Evangeline (8), and Kyler (6); his mother, Stacy (Jay) Agnew; siblings: Amy (Gary) Nelson, Rosemarie (Darryl) Gaddy, Abigail (Jared Scott) Olson, and Kayen Olson; grandparents, Marvin (Dona) Nepstad and Custer Wilt; nieces and nephews: Chelsea (Chase) Hosman, Bailey (Colby) Neset, Isaak Nelson, Mackenzie Gaddy, and Emma (Rivers) Dickerson; great niece and nephews: Vada Hosman, Waylon Hosman and Shep Dickerson; and several aunts and uncles including Kara Jurina, whom Kyle shared a special bond with.  He was preceded in death by grandparents: Marge Rogers, Gail (Kenneth Olson) Magnuson.
