Kimberly Ann Paulson, 66, Halstad, MN, formerly Perley, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Halstad Living Center in Halstad.
Kim was born on January 3, 1959, to Lloyd and Lorraine (Georgeson) Ziegler in Fargo, ND at St. Lukes Hospital. She attended Moorhead High School and graduated in 1978. Following graduation, she continued to live on the farm and later met Douglas Paulson at a race car track with some friends. Doug and Kim married on October 27, 1984, at the Christ Lutheran Church, Georgetown, MN. Together, they were blessed with two children, Elizabeth and Michael, and three grandchildren, Desirae, Anthony and Emilio. They raised their family in Perley, MN and later moved to Halstad, MN.
Throughout Kim's life she worked at the Fairmont Nursing Home and MSUM college in the student union cafeteria. She loved birds, gardening, baking, bingo, crafting, playing games and watching tv; but most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved their visits, attending their activities and having sleepovers.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Douglas Paulson; daughter, Elizabeth (Rene) Tovar; son, Michael Paulson; three grandchildren, Desirae Tovar, Anthony Tovar and Emilio Tovar; four brothers, John (Melanie) Ziegler, Richard Ziegler, Donald (Timberley) Ziegler, and Glen Ziegler; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lorraine Ziegler; grandparents, Carl and Veryle Ziegler, and Algot and Laura Georgeson; brother, Chris Ziegler; and sister-in-law, Janice Hinds.
We would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. We would especially like to thank the Halstad Living Center and Hospice for all the love and care you gave our mom; we are forever grateful.
