Kenneth Sutherland, age 44, of Trail, MN, died Friday, June 19, 2009 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

Kenneth was born January 31, 1965 in Miles City, Montana to Donald and Elwyne May (Dyer) Sutherland. He grew up mostly in the Fosston, MN, area, graduating in 1983 from Fosston High School. He then joined the Army and upon his honorable discharge on July 22, 1988 returned back to Fosston. He worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN until 2006. Kenny purchased a home in Trail in 1996 and was currently employed at the Trail's End Bar.

Kenneth greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He spent as much time as possible hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling. Kenny also loved dogs and playing cards with friends. Most of all Kenny cherished spending time with his nephew and nieces and sharing the holidays with his family. He attended Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston.

Kenneth is survived by his sister, Amy Hvezda (Tony Spaeth), Mahnomen, MN; and two brothers, Clark (Nora), Mahnomen, MN and Adam (Billie) of Fargo, ND; nephew, Jace Sutherland and nieces, Shayne Sutherland and Laken Spaeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one sister, Lori Beth.

A Memorial service was held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Trail's End Bar, 108 N Main St., Trail, MN. A private inurnment service will be held in Glendive, MT.
