Kenneth was born in Winger, MN on December 6, 1924 to Albert and Clara (Bakken) Espeseth. He was raised in Winger and attended the McIntosh School, graduating with the class of 1942. After graduation Kenneth entered the United States Army where he served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
Upon an honorable discharge, Kenneth was united in marriage to Florence Messelt Olson on June 14,1947 at her parent's farm near Winger. The couple made their home in Winger and he began working with the family business, Espeseth Implement. Kenneth was a well respected businessman, building lasting friendships with people throughout the area. Kenneth continued working at the Implement until his retirement in the early 1980's. In 2000, Kenny and Florence moved to Moorhead where they have since resided.
An outdoors enthusiast, Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. His greatest joy was the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Kenneth was actively involved in his community and was a lifelong member of Calvary Church and served on both the Winger City Council and the Church Council. He was also a long-time member of the American Legion and served on the Farmers State Bank Board.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; three children, Nancy (Russ) Hagen, Moorhead, Kyle (Marie) Espeseth, Moorhead, Kent (Karen) Espeseth, Jamestown, ND; ten grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Messelt, Winger, MN.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and two brother, Orville and Arnold.
