Keith David Webster, 86, Beltrami, MN, died on Friday, December 24, 2010, at the Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, MN. He was born on September 6, 1924, to Clifford and Elmira (Johnson) Webster at Crookston. Keith attended school in Beltrami, graduating from the Beltrami High School in 1942. Keith began farming with his father and continued working with his son, Greg, the land Keith's grandfather established. Over the years, they grew various grains and raised cattle and hogs. Keith worked with his son until moving to the Villa in 2008.
On November 30, 1946, Keith was united in marriage to Margaret Hamre at Beltrami. They have been married for 64 years. He was very active at Trinity Lutheran Church, Beltrami, serving for a time as president of the church council. He also served as mayor of Beltrami.
Farming was Keith's love. It allowed him the opportunity to be doing the things he truly enjoyed—planting, nurturing, and being around animals. He hunted pheasant with his father as a young man, and when his children were young, Keith was involved with 4-H club. Reading Westerns, usually delivered by the bookmobile, was a great pastime. He also read information about current events and appreciated a good conversation about what was going on in the world. Keith always liked music, especially older music. In his later years, Keith and Margaret began singing with the Inspirations. He will always be remembered for his warm smile, hearty laughter and generous ways. Keith loved his family, especially his beloved Margaret.
Keith is survived by his wife, Margaret, Crookston, MN; one son, Greg (Gay), Beltrami; four daughters: Kaye (David) Coburn, Garretson, SD; Mary Jo (Jim) Erickson, Ashton, ID; Elizabeth (Mike) Bennes, Chaska, MN; and Lynn (Dennis) Krogstad, Savage, MN; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Mark Webster; two brothers: R. Terrance "Terry", and John "Jack".

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 11 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Beltrami, MN.

Visitation will be one hour before the services in the church.
