Katherine "Kathy"
Person
Nov 2, 1979 — Dec 21, 2021
Minneapolis
Kathy Person, age 42, of Minneapolis, MN, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her home.
Katherine Rose Person was born November 2, 1979, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Vivian Person and Richard Thell. She grew up in the St. Paul metro where she attended school. Following high school, Kathy had two sons and later a daughter. Although she spent most of her time in the metro, she always enjoyed coming up North to spend time with family and friends at the lake or pow wows. Kathy would often stay at her Aunt Sharon's place. She liked spending time in the great outdoors, hanging out with friends, time with her boys, listening to music and of course, attending pow wows. Over the years, Kathy overcame lots of hardships, including an accident where she was run over! Her courageous and feisty attitude pulled her through many a thing and each time as a stronger person. Kathy was a survivor, yet loving, funny, boisterous, and always had a smile on her face. Gone from this life to soon, she has been reunited with her brothers with whom she shared a special bond, Rick, Paul and Craig. Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathy is survived by her two sons, Austin and Dario "Red"; their father, Michael Sherman, all of St. Paul; her daughter, Vivian Katherine of White Earth; her brother, Floyd (LeAnn) Person of Mahnomen; sister, Karen (Wade Borah) Person of Ogema; step-sisters, Amelia (Michael) Bray and Aurelia (Kenneth) Brown both of White Earth; special aunt, Sharon Durant also of White Earth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; special Grandma and Grandpa, Rose and Vernon Weaver; brothers: Paul, Craig, Richard and Curtis; and sister, Julie Thell; and numerous family members.
