Obituary

Kari Thompson, age 58, of Waubun, MN, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at her sister's home in White Earth, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Kari Joy Thompson, the daughter of Leonard and Frances (Murray) Thompson, was born December 20, 1961, in Hennepin County.  She grew up and was raised in the Twin Cities area.  Kari met Guy Keezer and the couple lived in the metro before making their home in Elbow Lake Village for many years.  Kari worked in housekeeping for numerous summers at Jolly Fisherman Resort.  Together, she and Guy, were blessed with five children: Guy Jr., Nea, Ronnielynn, Annabelle and Leslie.  Following Guy's death in 1991, Kari moved to the Naytahwaush area.  She later met Marvin Lee "Monk" Kier and the couple spent many wonderful years together.  Kari will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In her spare time, Kari enjoyed fishing, trips to the casino, shopping, listening to country music and spending time in the great outdoors.  She cherished every opportunity to spend time with friends and family, and especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.  Although her life ended way to soon, many precious memories were made that will last a lifetime

Kari is survived by children: Guy Keezer Jr., Nea Keezer, Ronnielynn Keezer, Annabelle Keezer and Leslie Keezer; many grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Skinaway, Karen Manypenny, and Izsola Hill; brothers: Leonard Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Donald "Frog" Thompson and Allan "Jacob" Dakota; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
