Julius Hanks, the infant son of Lisa Bray and Trevor Hanks, died suddenly on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Essentia Health St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Julius Michael Hanks was born January 7, 2025, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND, shortly after his twin sister, Bitsie.  The twins made their debut early at only 23 weeks gestation with Julius weighing 1 lb. 6 oz. and Bitsie at 1 lb .04 oz.  They made their home in the NICU until June when they were finally welcomed home by their siblings.  Although small, Julius was a fighter.  He was strong and loud, growing by leaps and bounds and becoming more vocal every day.  His weight was on the steady increase which gave him the cutest chubby cheeks and earned him the nickname of "Big Man"!  He also wasn't shy when it came to being heard, especially when he wanted someone to hold him.  It was easy to see Julius was spoiled by his older siblings, as they would cater to his every need.  He loved them all but was extra partial and always looking for his big sister, Miley.  Julius was such a happy baby, always smiling and laughing.  He had just started to really move about trying to crawl and following mom from room to room in his walker.  Although Julius was only here for such a short time, the amount of love and joy he brought to his family was insurmountable.  He will live on in the hearts of many.

Julius leaves behind his twin sister, Bitsie; his parents, Lisa and Trevor; brothers Tayshaun Bray, Cody Eagle Feather, Trevor Hanks Jr.; sisters: Kennedy Bray, Miley Bray, Joei Eagle Feather, Brinleigh Hanks and Brooklynn Hanks; great grandparents, Joe and Joan Safar; grandpa, Mike Bray; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was greeted with open arms by his great grandma, Rose Weaver; grandmas, Bitsie Bray and Tammy Safar; grandpa, Julius "Rat" Hanks; aunts, Judy "Sis" Libby and Teresa Dakota; and cousin, Asia Bevins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. Columba Episcopal Church in White Earth, MN.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, White Earth, MN.
