Julie "LuLu" Keezer, age 60, of Naytahwaush, MN, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Julie Ann Burnette was born on January 30, 1958, to Edward and Ada (Beaulieu) Burnette in White Earth, MN. Growing up she attended school at Naytahwaush Elementary and Mahnomen Public School. Julie was blessed with two children, Roger and Jennifer. Julie married Darald Keezer but the couple later divorced. During her years in the work force, LuLu worked at the Shooting Star Casino as a cook and a housekeeper. She also worked as a Primary Care Attendant for her mom, Ada, until her death. LuLu's declining health forced her into early retirement and she has resided at the Frazee Care Center for the past year.

Everyone that met LuLu could easily see that she was a very tenderhearted and genuine lady who never turned anyone away. She loved spending time visiting with friends and family. Her sense of humor was a tool she used to help make people laugh and smile. LuLu also enjoyed listening to music, sewing, playing bingo and working on crafts, especially birchbark baskets. She will live on in the hearts of friends and family forever.

Julie is survived by her son, Roger (Melinda) Burnette; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Terry Burnette, Shannon Burnette, and Shane Burnette; one sister, Gina Burnette; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Burnette; her parents, Edward and Ada; a brother, Edward Sr. "Butchie" Burnette; and two sisters, Cheryl "Boom Boom" Burnette and infant, Noreen Burnette.

A Time of Gathering will be held from 1 - 3 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Samuel Memorial Episcopal Church, Naytahwaush.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
