Obituary

Julia Madoll, age 38, of Williams, MN, formerly Warroad, MN, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, ND.

Julia Marie, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Blattenbauer) Pantaleo, was born on January 18, 1987, the first baby born that year at the Mahnomen Hospital. She grew up on the family farm near Bejou, MN, helping with chores alongside her parents and siblings. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen.  Julia attended Mahnomen High School where, over the years, she was active in Girl Scouts, golf, and volleyball.  Julia was a talented musician and skillfully played the flute in the high school band and in the years following. After graduating in 2005, Julia went on to study Early Childhood Education at Bemidji State University, where she met the love of her life, Jeremiah Madoll. The two were united in marriage on August 22, 2009, and made their home in Warroad, MN.  Their family grew, as Julia and Jeremiah were blessed with two children, Nathanial and Autumn. Being a mom was Julia's greatest joy, and she cherished every moment with her children, who were truly her most precious gifts.  Recently, they moved to the Madoll family farm near Williams, MN, to be closer to family.

Over the years, Julia held a variety of jobs but found her true calling waitressing at Daisy's Garden. For the past ten plus years, Julia dedicated her time and talents to the staff, patrons, and friends of Daisy's. She made many good friends and held these relationships close to her heart. When not at Daisy's, Julia truly enjoyed her simple life at home with family. She cherished a quiet movie night, cozied in with a cup of hot coca and a bag of cheeseballs.  She also enjoyed tending her flowers and "playing" in her garden.  Though she may have joked about her struggles with everyday cooking, Julia was a talented baker. She was well known for her monster cookies and sweet treats, which she gladly shared with friends and family. She was always thinking of others and went the extra mile to make someone smile.  Julia had a kind and generous spirit, inherently brightening the lives of those around her.  She was compassionate, tender, and full of love.  In 2022, Julia received a devastating cancer diagnosis: Neuroendocrine neoplasm. With her unwavering faith and the loving support of her family, she bravely faced her illness. After a courageous three-year battle, Julia's pain was lifted and she was welcomed into her Lord's loving arms on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Julia is survived by her husband of 16 years, Jeramiah and her children, Nathanial and Autumn, all of Williams; her parents, Joe and Barb Pantaleo of Mahnomen; her sister, Jennifer (Matthew) Moen of West Fargo, ND; her brother, Jacob of Fosston, MN; father-in-law, Tim Madoll; mother-in-law, Sonja Parrot; brother-in-law, Tyrel (Kaitlyn) Madoll; sister-in-law, Sheela (Travis) Speaker; seven nieces and nephews; and her aunts and uncles: Cindy Roering, Cheryl (Wally) Skare, Sandy (Elly) Underwood, Anita (Tim) LaVoy, Terri (Cheryl Larson), Robert (Carol) Blattenbauer, and Russell Blattenbauer; as well as many cousins and extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Edward and MaryAnn Blattenbauer and Joe and Rhoda Pantaleo.
